Australian trumpeter Todd Hardy has been a distinctive presence on the jazz scene for more than three decades. Rooted firmly in the jazz tradition, his warm, lyrical style draws inspiration from trumpet greats including Louis Armstrong, Chet Baker and Lee Morgan.

Hardy has performed throughout Australia, Europe and Japan, with career highlights including recording with Australian jazz legend Judy Bailey for ABC Jazz and extensive work with artists including Dan Barnett, Monica Trapaga, Grace Knight and internationally acclaimed bassist and vocalist Nicki Parrott. His recording credits with Parrott include Misty and Feelin’ Groovy, alongside recent touring and performances.

Beyond jazz, Hardy recently recorded for Baz Luhrmann’s EPiC: Elvis Presley in Concert project and has performed with David Campbell, Marcia Hines and Casey Donovan 

His latest album, Something Old, Something New, returns to his musical heartland: swinging, melodic and blues-infused jazz, firmly rooted in tradition.
